The solar carbon neutral pyramid would love to exist in Dubai , oups it s 600 meters high!
The green gadgetisation or the solar extravaganza in Dubai (thanks Inhabitat) are always a risk to build accurate credibility in the solar industry….Needless to say that at the end of the day,the consumer will decide what he wants …and not the financial market!

Even if i m a golfer myself,the American way of life sometimes is a TOTAL non sense… This golf is sucking tons of waters in the middle of the desert… greens can kill.

The new trend from LEED architects is not anymore the shape but more the way you plug Prefab green building block ( rated 58) with solar systems.
i love this concept from Scott Specht which could be a good eco tourism destination.
Green systems description:
The power generated from the photovoltaic array is stored in batteries, which can harness enough electricity to maintain all operations for one week without sunlight. The Photovoltaic system is engineered to accommodate full occupancy from the Las Vegas latitude south. In northern climes, he says the power generation would support either fewer people or part-time occupancy.
Water is provided to zeroHouse through its rainwater retention system that collects and stores 2,200 gallons. All of the plumbing fixtures in the house are gravity fed from the retention cistern, eliminating the need for high-energy pumps. Organic waste materials are stored and broken down in a compost container located under the home that needs to be emptied only twice per year. In the compost unit, the waste is transformed into clean, dry fertilizer that can be used for landscaping. Finally, sensors located throughout the home allow monitoring of all functions. If modifications need to be made on any of the systems, the “house brain” can be accessed via computer.
